I’m often told that I wear many hats, both literally and figuratively. It reminds me of the old saying: “Jack of all trades, master of none.”
However, here’s the important point: it doesn't matter which figurative hat I wear, as long as I am genuine and fully committed to my work. More importantly, being able to draw from all my various disciplines, experiences, and life lessons to inform and shape my work makes it worthwhile and productive.
For those who bring up the old quote, I like to remind them that it is only half the story. The complete quote is: “Jack of all trades, master of none, but oftentimes better than a master of one.”
Credo: explore, discover, learn, teach, be kind and tell stories. A good story is everything.
